After seeing a facebook friend's post about The Birthday Project I knew I had to do it. I am so excited to this year for my birthday. I will be 44 and I am coming up with 44 random acts of kindness. Right now I have 25 and I need help coming up with other ideas. I am going to list what I have so far and if you think of any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Here is my list so far:

2. Buy some one's coffee
3. Give out bottle water to people outside
4. Make cookies/muffins for fire dept.
5. Write a letter Forgiving someone
6. Take dog food to shelter
7. Pick up trash
8. Send flowers to my mom
9. Collect can foods give to food bank
10. Load groceries for 30 min.
11. Thank the mail carrier
12. Bring a dip & veggie snack to my dentist office
13. Hand out flowers
14. Make cards for assisted living
15. Treats for the librarians
16. Hide dollars in toys at dollar tree
17. Pick up trash
18. Smile and compliment everyone
19. Pass out silly bands to kids
20. Give out stickers to kids
21. Notes with micro popcorn on redboxes
22. Put coins and notes at laundry mat
23. notes and coins at car wash
24. Encouraging note for gym scale
I am hoping this project has an effect on my children. I want Reese and Sky to start doing this not just everyday but especially on their birthday.
Also, in my search online I have found so many people that have great ideas. I also saw a guy that did 366 days of kindness. I think my birthday will kick off my 365 days of kindness project. I think I will definitely get more out of this than the people I help.
Thanks for your help!!

Summertime fun!!
Reese has finally finished his Arlington Theatre camp. The kids put on a great show. Dear Edwina Jr. He did a great job. I am really impressed with him. He is also working hard on his guitar. He has private lessons once a week and then rehearsal. They will have a big show at Magnolia Motor Lounge in August. He is playing Highway to Hell and Hey Jude.
We just got back from San Antonio. What a great time. The only bad thing is I got a little sick and my camera was "lost". I left it on a bench went back 15 minutes later and it was gone? I asked all the stores and even the hotel but no one turned in. It did teach Reese a lesson. He has decided that when he finds anything he will try hard to find the person it belongs to or turn into the closest store or place he found it. I guess now I will get a new camera out of it. I am going to upgrade and get into my photography more. I think I already found one I like. It comes with 2 lens.
Next trip will be to Shreveport (business with tony). Then we will go to Houston close to the beach.

Yaa Hoo
I am so excited!! I got a job in Keller. I will be teaching 3rd grade again. The school is really nice and the principal is too. She took me on a tour of the school and my classroom. It was so huge. I cannot wait to set up my room. I am just waiting for the district to call so I can sign all the paperwork and be offical. I am sure they are busy doing all their hiring. Keller is a great district and I am excited to work for them.
Reese is in week two of his Theatre Arlington summer camp. They are doing Dear Edwina Jr. I am excited for them. Seems like a very cute musical. One more week of shows and he is done. I am little tired of driving to Arlington and back. I am not a city/traffic girl. I like living in the burbs.
I started back at the gym. A little slow but I am back running. I missed it so much. I was gone way too long. Think I am going to add swimming too.
I am going to take the picture a day challenge. I heard about this on facebook and looked it up online. I decided to take a picture a day for 365 days. It is suppose to get you more aware of the world around you and I think it will make me a better photographer. I have so much to learn about my camera and this is the only way I can do it. I will be posting pictures on my blog. Should be cool. We will see.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

New Life!!
That's all I can say is I am ready to start my new life. I have applied for some new jobs at various schools. I know that someone will be lucky to have me. I just need the opportunity to interview and that is the hardest part here in TX. It's all who you know.
Second new life change is I am getting back into my exercise groove. I am hitting it hard now that school is out. I am trying to go out twice a day. I ran today! It's been a long time. I got a little lazy after the Tillman run. I also started logging my food in my phone. It will keep me on track.
So lets begin my new life!!!

WOW
WOW! That's all I can say. I always thought if you were suppose to be friends with someone they should tell you when they are going to take oh say your job? I mean to find out from a stranger. Wow again that is all I can say. I guess at this point am so glad that I am leaving my job. I cannot be where there is so many secrets and lies. Plain and simple lies. I was lied to when I was told I could go to third grade. I was lied to when I was told I was doing so well. Then when I was told hey I'm not going to ask you back? What? Why? I mean I started that school. I have put my blood, sweat, time and tears into that school. This is the treatment I get and for people to also lie and talk about my job status before I even knew about. Why am I upset? Well, those I thought were my friends are not. Those I thought cared about me or had my back didn't. I know the next place god puts me I will not let myself get too close to others. I will keep my space and distance and just give my effort and time into just my students and their parents. I found a quote today that said: Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
I have 3 more days left and I will hold my head up high. I will not stoop to anyones level. I am good and I will bounce back. I will also know who my true friends are and who I can trust. Thank you to them you all know who you are!!!
I will survive!!!

Amazing Kids
This week I have had the pleasure of watching some very talented kids. Not only are they talented the inspire their peers. Tuesday was our K-2 show and they were cute and adorable. Where you can really see the progress is with the 2nd graders. I had them in kindergarten and now they are almost the big kids. They have come so far and into their own little actors, dancers and singers. How blessed I am to witness this transformation. Then Thursday was my son's last performance at TESA. He was the Asst. Director. He did the opening speech and I can say it was great. The show was the best by far. Now my 2nd set of 3rd graders were absolutely brilliant. What talent. Then Reese had a baseball game on Saturday and he had a 2 run RBI and got a player out when he was on first base. We ended our weekend Saturday night at the Magnolia Motor lounge. The school of rock performed and one of our 6th grade students was in the Stones band. What a talented kid. Reese couldn't take his eyes off the band. When he came home he ran upstairs and got his guitar. He said mom I really want to take lessons. Well looks like we will have to look into that now. I am so glad I got to experience these kids and all there talent.

A new journey
A few of my friends have blogs and it really has insipired me to start my own. Not sure I will have many followers but I know it may help me get through some tough times and to share some great family acomplishements with friends and family. I have a few things I want to share.
First I am on a new journey in my career. Of course I still want to be a teacher but I am going to change schools. It wasn't my choice but it was a choice that was made for me. I am ready for the challenge though and I am trying to make it a positive change. Sometimes we have to put it in God's hands. I had an interview on Wednesday so prayers are needed.
Second, I am starting back with my running. I got to have the most amazing experience this month with my mother. I ran in the Pat Tillman run in AZ. 4.2 miles and it was very hot. I forgot how hot it is in AZ. I wouldn't change it for the world. I think I will make it a yearly thing. As long as my mom is able to do it. I do believe she will be running for a long time. I am going to set a goal of a 10K soon and then move on from there. Jogging is so freeing and I love it. I have lost 55lbs. so far and have more to go. It is coming off slow but I haven't gained at all since I started this journey I think that is good.
Last I am trying to find the right fit for me and then family spiritually. I want to find a church we can all like and enjoy the fellowship. This is very hard. We all want different things. I am going to have them come to another one this Sunday for Mother's day. I really like it and so does Reese but Tony hasn't gone yet. Maybe he will enjoy the pastor as much as I do.
Thank you for reading my blog. I hope I have good news soon. I am so grateful for all my friends and family and hope they know how important they are to me.
